Depending on the specific model, Cirelli vehicles use two different mounting systems. Models Cirelli 1, Cirelli 5 and Cirelli 6 feature raised roof rails. You can easily recognize them because they stand above the roof surface and you can slide your hand underneath them. The carrier foot clamps them from both the inside and outside during installation.
For models Cirelli 4 and Cirelli 7, the manufacturer opted for flush roof rails. These lie directly on the roof along their entire length without any gap. The feet for this system fit into the profiled groove on the outer or inner edge of the rail. Each of these solutions requires a different type of mounting feet, which is why selecting the correct car model is the first step.

Crossbars form the base onto which you then attach a roof box, bicycle racks, or ski holders. When choosing, consider the profile of the bars themselves. Rectangular steel crossbars can handle rougher handling when transporting building materials or garden tools. Aluminum bars with an aerodynamic shape, on the other hand, reduce air resistance and dampen wind noise during fast highway driving.
If you plan to use existing accessories, check their mounting method. Some carriers require attachment into the T-slot on the top of the aluminum crossbar, while others mount using steel U-bolts around the bar profile.
