Raised roof rails are easy to identify: they stand above the roof level and you can comfortably fit your fingers between them and the sheet metal along their entire length. The rack foot clamps the rail from both the outside and the inside. Before mounting the rack, we recommend cleaning the contact surface from dust and grease so that the rubber feet rest directly on a clean surface.

Touran often carries a full family crew and the trunk is quickly filled with bags. However, after mounting the crossbars and attaching a box or bicycle racks, the overall clearance height increases significantly. Keep this in mind before entering underground garages, parking structures or under low shelters.
