Raised rails are easy to recognize: they stand above the roof and there is free space along their entire length through which you can easily pass your hand. The carrier feet attach directly around them.
Before fitting the feet, we recommend washing the rails and removing minor impurities. This prevents the risk of dust getting trapped under the rubber contact surfaces and scratching the surface during tightening.
Once you have the crossbars on your car, you can mount a roof box, bike racks, or ski holders on them. Accessories are attached to the bars in two ways: by sliding into the T-slot in the crossbar or with U-bolts that wrap around the bar profile from below.
Before purchasing, check the compatibility of your holders or box with the profile of the selected crossbar. Always read what is included in the package of a specific product directly in its detail, because the package contents vary among individual manufacturers.
With loaded bikes or a full roof box, the car's behavior changes during sudden braking and in corners. The car has a higher center of gravity and a larger surface area that side winds can push against.
Also watch out for the total clearance height. Check entry into underground garages, parking structures, or under low shelters in advance, especially if you are carrying tall cargo on the roof.
