Both offered generations of the Mazda 2 feature a bare roof without any factory-fitted elements. The rack setups are secured using specially shaped feet and kits directly under the roof edge in the door opening area.

Thanks to the lower build of the car, handling roof cargo is comfortable. You do not have to stretch on your toes or carry a step stool, which you will appreciate when attaching bikes to holders as well as when loading bags into a roof box.
When choosing a box, pay close attention to its length. A box that is too long could extend backwards on the shorter roof of the Mazda 2 and restrict the full opening of the tailgate.
