The fourth generation Grand Scenic R9 features flush rails on the roof. These lie directly against the body and have no clearance between themselves and the metal along their entire length. The rack feet are secured by directly clamping onto the profile of this rail.
If you owned an older model in the past, your original crossbars will not fit. The previous Grand Scenic JZ from 2009 to 2016 had raised rails with a gap from the roof, and the first generation Grand Scenic JM from 2004 to 2009 used fixing points. For the R9 model, choose exclusively assemblies designed for flush rails.
