The SEAT Leon KL in this version features a clean roof without any pre-prepared elements. The rack therefore uses a bare roof and anchors directly into the door frame using custom-shaped metal brackets. The lower feet rest on the roof via protective rubber pads that prevent paint damage.
Before each installation, clean and degrease the roof areas and door frame where the feet rest. Dust particles trapped under the rubber could unnecessarily abrade the surface due to car movement and wind pressure.
Leon KL replaced the previous generation Leon 5F produced between 2012 and 2020. Although both generations have a bare roof, the door lines and roof slope have changed, so the fitting kits are not interchangeable.
