With the Škoda Scala, you will encounter a bare roof setup. The crossbars are held on the bodywork by precisely shaped feet and clamps that fit under the upper edge of the door opening.
Before every installation, thoroughly clean the paint in the contact areas from dust and road dirt. This prevents the risk of scratching the surface when tightening. If you already have a roof box, bike racks, or ski holders at home, check their mounting method. Some accessories use traditional U-bolts wrapping around the bar profile, while others require sliding into the T-slot in the crossbar.
