Crossbars for the BMW 5 Series Touring estate generation E61 from 2004 to 2010. The roof of this model requires racks designed for raised rails, which you can select based on the bar profile and planned accessories.
The BMW 5 Series Touring generation E61 uses raised rails that run along the roof with a clear space underneath them. The rack feet attach by clamping directly around the rail profile.
Before fitting the rack, we recommend cleaning dust off the rails and checking for any coarse dirt that could prevent the clamps from seating properly.
Our offer includes both steel and aluminium racks. Steel bars with a classic square profile represent the basic choice, onto which bike racks or boxes are usually mounted using U-bolts.
Aluminium profiles have a more aerodynamic shape and feature a top T-track for quick mounting of adapters. Always check the description of the selected product to see what exactly a specific package contains.
When placing a roof box on the Touring model, pay attention to the position of the tailgate. Slide the box far enough forward so that the opening tailgate does not hit the rear of the box when fully open.
Do not forget the roof weight limit specified in the vehicle manual, which includes the total weight of the cargo, the box, and the crossbars themselves.
The E61 generation was produced from 2004 to 2010. If you have a car from the turn of 2003 and 2004, check whether it is not the previous model BMW rad 5 Touring E39. For vehicles from 2010, make sure you do not already own the newer estate BMW rad 5 Touring F11.
