On the Voyager NS model, you will encounter raised rails that stand above the roof level with a free space underneath along their entire length. The roof rack feet clamp the rail from both the outside and the inside. Before purchasing, check that your rails are firmly attached to the roof and that their surface is not excessively damaged by corrosion or wear.

The Voyager offers plenty of interior space, but when fully occupied with seven passengers, the trunk fills up quickly with bags. A roof box or bicycle racks on the roof will free up space in the cabin for long trips. Since it is a relatively tall car, it is useful to open the side sliding doors when handling cargo and stand on the vehicle's sill to secure things.
When loading the roof box, pay attention to the weight. The total roof load capacity includes the weight of the crossbars themselves, the empty box, and all cargo inside it. The maximum allowed limit can be found in the vehicle manual.
Crossbars form the basic load-carrying system to which ski racks, bicycle carriers, or roof boxes are subsequently attached. Different bar types use different methods for anchoring accessories, for example using T-bolts in the bar profile groove or using standard U-bolts.
