Crossbars for the DS 4 generation D41, production of which started in 2021. All versions of this model have a bare roof, so the choice depends on the material of the bars and the planned load.
The DS 4 D41 uses a mounting system that attaches under the door frame lip, as the bare roof has no anchoring elements on top. The assembly rests on the roof using feet with rubber pads and is held in place by shaped steel clamps precisely adapted to the curves of the bodywork.
Before placing the feet, thoroughly clean the paintwork under the rubber pads from dust and mud. This prevents unnecessary friction of impurities against the paint when driving with a load.
The crossbars serve as a base for bicycle carriers, ski racks or a roof box. If you already have accessories at home, check their mounting method. Some mounts require insertion into the T-slot in aluminum bars, while others use standard clamps around the bar profile.
When packing for travel, keep in mind the permissible roof load specified by the car manufacturer in the technical documentation. The total weight includes the weight of the load, the box itself and the mounted crossbars.
Check the year of manufacture of the car. The older generation DS 4 NX from 2015 to 2018 has a different door frame profile and the racks between these versions are not interchangeable.
