The tenth generation Civic in the hatchback version does not have any factory mounting points on the roof. This variant features a bare roof, where the feet rest on the roof surface and are secured using custom-shaped clamps directly behind the door frame edge.

The Civic Hatchback FC features a sporty sloping rear end and a large tailgate that opens high upwards. When installing a roof box or longer sports equipment carriers, it is important to position the cargo far enough forward so that the opened tailgate does not hit its rear edge.
When packing for a trip, also take into account the maximum permissible roof load specified by the manufacturer in the vehicle manual. This value includes the weight of the crossbars themselves, the box, and the transported cargo.
The FC generation was produced from 2017 to 2021. Starting in 2022, a newer generation Civic Hatchback FL was introduced to the market, which has a differently shaped door opening and requires a different mounting kit. Pay extra attention especially for vehicles around the model year transition, where the first registration date may not exactly match the manufacturing year.
