The Jeep Avenger comes from the factory in two possible roof configurations. Raised rails stand above the roof surface and you can easily slip your hand underneath them from the side. The bare roof has nothing on it and the rack foot clamps directly behind the body flange in the door area.
You can identify the correct version by simply checking your vehicle in the parking lot. If you are not sure, send us a photo of the roof and we will verify the mounting.
You can load a roof box, bicycle carriers or ski holders onto the crossbars. If you already have your own equipment, check how it attaches to the bars. Some accessories use a T-track in the crossbar, while others are mounted using U-bolts around the bar profile.
Each manufacturer supplies different accessories with the racks. Therefore, always verify the exact package contents and supplied parts in the detail of the selected product.
The total permissible roof load includes the weight of the cargo, the box itself, and the weight of the crossbars. You can find the maximum limit in the car manual, and it is good to monitor it especially when packing heavy luggage for a long trip. With the equipment installed, also remember the changed height of the car before entering an underground garage.
