For the Peugeot 508 Sedan, we carry crossbars for the second generation, production of which started in 2018. The older first generation produced between 2010 and 2018 had a different body construction and we currently do not have setups for it in our offer. When choosing, please follow the year of manufacture from your vehicle registration document, not the date of first registration.
The second generation of this sedan has a bare roof with no protrusions. The racks are therefore mounted behind the body edge in the door area using a shaped mounting kit. Each manufacturer designs feet and tightening differently, so always verify the exact package contents and mounting procedure in the detail of the specific product.
The low silhouette of the sedan brings a big advantage when loading. Whether you are putting a roof box or bicycle racks up top, you do not have to reach up high like on tall SUVs. When choosing longer accessories, make sure they do not interfere with the opening path of the boot lid, and remember that the maximum permitted roof load is specified by the manufacturer in the vehicle manual.
