Renault Megane Grandtour has gone through several generations, and each of them approaches the roof differently. Choose your generation by production year and the sets designed directly for your estate will be displayed.
In older generations, Renault equipped this estate with a traditional solution. For the Megane Grandtour II (2003 – 2009) version as well as the subsequent Megane Grandtour KZ (2009 – 2016) version, sets for raised rails are available. In both cases, there is a clear gap between the rail and the roof sheet metal.
With the Megane Grandtour BF (2016 – 2024) generation, a change came. The car left the factory either with integrated flush rails that lie flush against the body along their entire length, or it had a bare roof without any elements.
If you have a car from 2015 or 2016, verify the exact production date in your vehicle registration document and visually inspect the roof. While the KZ generation always has raised rails, the newer BF generation uses integrated flush rails or a bare roof. The mountings of these two generations cannot be interchanged because the feet require a completely different shape of support points.
The estate offers a sufficiently long roof that serves well for a summer trip to the sea as well as a winter trip to the mountains. Next to a roof box, a bicycle carrier will also fit if the bar width is chosen correctly. When planning your load, keep in mind that the total roof load capacity also includes the weight of the crossbars and the box itself. The exact limit is stated by Renault in the vehicle manual.
