Sedans and hatchbacks like Giulia, Giulietta, 147 and newer crossovers like Tonale or Junior generally have a bare roof. The rack sits directly on the bodywork and the feet attach under the door frame.
The three-door MiTo uses fixed mounting points integrated into the roof structure. Estate models 156 Crosswagon and 159 Sportwagon feature raised roof rails with a clear gap underneath that you can wrap your hand around. The Stelvio SUV can be found with a bare roof, but also with flush roof rails that lie directly on the surface with no gap. Each of these systems requires a different type of feet and mounting kit.
