When choosing a roof rack, the manufacturing year stated in the vehicle registration certificate is decisive. Models from 2013 to 2022 belong to the V408 generation, with the extended Grand version from 2019 to 2022 forming a separate variant. For these vehicles, we have sets designed for flush rails. The V761 generation, production of which started in 2022, uses raised rails. These systems are not mutually interchangeable, so please first open the specific version of your car.
You can determine the mounting method with a simple check directly on the car. Raised rails stand upwards, and there is a free space between them and the car roof sheet metal under which you can slide your hand. The rack foot mounts around them. Flush rails lie flat against the roof along their entire length with no gap underneath them. Sets for flush rails anchor directly into the profiles and outer grooves.
Tourneo Connect is among the taller cars, which affects cargo handling. When installing crossbars, securing a roof box, or lifting bicycles, it helps to open the side doors and step on the door sill. This gives you better stability and comfortable reach to the middle of the roof.
