The second generation Kia Soul can feature two different mounting systems. The first option is flush rails, which lie directly against the body and have no gap between them and the roof along their entire length. The second solution is fixed points prepared directly by the manufacturer in the roof area.
These two mounting methods use different mounting feet. Therefore, before choosing a rack, stand by your car and check which of these two elements your roof is equipped with.
The PS generation rolled off production lines from 2014 to 2019. If your vehicle registration document lists the year 2014, check whether it is the older first generation Kia Soul AM. The same situation applies to the year 2019, when production of the newer Kia Soul SK3 began.
For boundary dates, the exact vehicle manufacturing date is decisive, as individual generations have different roof shapes and the sets between them are not mutually interchangeable.
When choosing, you can select between different load bar profiles. Aluminum bars feature a groove on the top side into which bicycle or ski carrier adapters are attached. Steel bars have a rectangular cross-section, to which accessories are attached using standard clamps from the outside around the profile.

The Kia Soul itself has a taller body structure. When you add the height of the crossbars and a loaded roof box to it, keep the new height dimension in mind when entering indoor garages, underground parking lots, or car washes.
