The Legacy Kombi has gone through multiple developmental stages. We stock roof rack assemblies for the fourth generation with the code designation BP, which rolled off the production lines between 2003 and 2009. We do not offer racks for older versions or the newer BR generation, so please verify the production year in your vehicle registration document.
BP generation vehicles come with factory raised rails. You can easily recognize them by the fact that the entire structure stands above the roof and you can easily pass your hand between it and the sheet metal. The rack feet securely grip this rail from both the outside and the inside.
Always check the exact parts and mounting method for a specific rack in the product detail of your chosen item, as different assemblies use their own mounting systems.
Compared to tall SUV-type vehicles, the estate has a distinct advantage when loading cargo. You can access bike racks and roof boxes directly from the ground without having to step on the door sills. Thus, you can easily attach skis for a winter holiday and bikes for weekend trips in the summer.
If you plan to carry heavier cargo in a box, check the maximum permitted roof load in your car's manual, into which you must also factor the weight of the crossbars and the box itself.
