The Toyota Verso R2 rolled off the production line with two different roof solutions. You can tell the difference with a quick glance from the side of the vehicle.
With raised rails, the load-bearing part stands above the bodywork level and there is a free space along its entire length between it and the roof sheet metal, under which you can easily slide your fingers. In this case, the rack feet clamp directly around the rail. If you have no elevated elements on the roof, it is a bare roof. A rack with specific feet is designed for it, which rest on the edge of the roof and anchor behind the body lip in the door opening.
Check the year of manufacture stated in the vehicle registration document. The R2 generation was produced between 2009 and 2018, while different mounting elements apply to the older Verso generation. If you have a version with panoramic glass, check the manufacturer's instructions in the car manual regarding the load and use of the sunroof when installing crossbars.
