The C-Class estate offers a well-balanced interior space, but for a family holiday, skiing trip or a weekend with bikes, the boot can be too small. Select your estate generation and choose the setup that exactly matches your roof design.
The C-Class estate carries the letter S in its internal designation and covers five different generations in our offer. Older models S202 from 1996 to 2001, S203 from 2001 to 2007, and S204 produced between 2007 and 2014 rely on raised roof rails.
The S205 generation produced from 2014 to 2021 switched to flush roof rails. The S206 generation, production of which started in 2021, uses the same mounting type. When choosing, be guided by the year of manufacture recorded in your vehicle registration document.
You can spot the difference with a simple glance at the roof. Raised rails stand elevated above the roof surface, and you can easily put your hand between the rail and the sheet metal. The rack foot grips it from both the inside and outside during installation.
Flush rails lie directly on the roof along their entire length, and there is no gap underneath. Feet for this system use specially shaped jaws designed for the groove in the rail. Feet from raised rails cannot be used on flush rails, which is why choosing the correct generation is essential.
The low body profile of the estate is a great advantage during handling. You can load both bikes and a roof box without having to step on the door sills. If you plan to carry a longer roof box, check the opening of the tailgate after installation. The estate has a large boot lid with a top spoiler, so it is wise to shift the crossbars and the box slightly forward so the door does not hit the box when fully opened.
