The Audi A6 Sedan C7 features a bare roof without raised rails or gutters. The rack is secured using feet and a mounting kit directly against the upper edge of the bodywork in the door frame area beneath the weatherstripping.
During installation, place the feet precisely at the locations specified by the rack manufacturer. Before each installation, we recommend thoroughly cleaning and degreasing the contact points so that tiny dust particles under the rubber pads do not damage the car's paintwork.
The C7 generation hit the market in 2011, which was when the previous A6 Sedan 4F version ended. If your vehicle is from 2011, please verify the exact generation based on the body shape and vehicle registration document.
Although both generations use a bare roof, the curvature of the roof arch and the door frame profile are different. Therefore, the assemblies and mounting kits between them are not interchangeable.
The sedan offers a deep trunk, but longer skis or bulky luggage for a family vacation are more conveniently transported on the roof. The crossbars serve as a stable base for a roof box, bicycle carriers, and ski holders.
If you already own a box or holders at home, check their mounting method to the bars. Accessories are mounted either using clamps around the bar or by sliding adapters into the T-slot in the crossbar, with each bar profile offering different mounting options.
