The second generation Outlander designated as CW from 2006 to 2012 uses raised roof rails that stand above the roof profile with free space underneath along their entire length. The successor GF produced from 2012 to 2021 switched to flush roof rails that lie directly on the bodywork with no gap underneath.
When choosing the right rack, the production date in your vehicle registration document and a quick check of the roof are decisive. For the older version, proceed to CW generation; for the newer vehicle, choose GF generation.
The Outlander has a spacious cabin, but with a full load of passengers for a ski trip or camping, the boot fills up quickly. Crossbars create a solid base for attaching a roof box, ski racks, and bike holders.
